Aloha,

I’m currently on tour sharing music. Last week I visited 1-5 graders in Cayucos near San Luis Obispo.

Aloha,

Monday’s are the hardest days for me. I was really tired yesterday. First went into Waikiki to give a lesson for JAL. It was a good class… Good attitudes…. Nice people! Paul Okami joined me for lunch afterwards. Wanted to introduce him to Kiwami Ramen in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza.
Following lunch, I went to the KoAloha ‘Ukulele Factory. I had to record some video lessons for our friend Peng from Thailand. After the video shoot, had a meeting with Peng, Alan Okami, and Paul discussing about maybe traveling back to Thailand and Korea later this year.
Overall, it was a great day! Even though I was exhausted, the day was very productive!
Now more video shooting today at KoAloha!

Aloha!

Good morning!
Last night at the Willows, Bryan Tolentino sat in and jammed with myself and Jon Yamasato. Bryan is a great ‘ukulele musician! We had such a great time. We both perform together again on April 1st at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
This evening, I will go back to Willows to perform with Brad Kawakami for his CD release party. Come and enjoy! We will have a good time!

Aloha,
Herb, Jr.

Last evening I went to KoAloha for a rehearsal for our 3 city tour in Korea. Keith Yoshioka will be playing guitar for me, and the Okami brothers will be singing and dancing the hula. Looking forward to it.

This evening, I’ll be performing at Willows with Jon Yamasato at Willows from 6:30PM – 8:30PM. Come on by!

Aloha,

Aloha

Came home yesterday from Tokyo. Nice to be home but miss Japan also.
This morning, I came to the KoAloha Factory. They were hosting kids from the Tohoku area of Japan. They did a ‘ukulele build this past Wednesday. I thought that I wouldn’t be able to see them because of lessons, but I made it at the end got to perform for them a little bit. One of many things I love about the Okami Family and their staff is their heart!

Aloha,
Herb

Getting Ready

Filed under: Uncategorized — Herb Ohta, Jr. @ 10:28 pm

Aloha,

Packing now for my trip to Japan. Travel isn’t easy! Packing doesn’t get easier each time you travel. Wish that the airline fares were cheaper than it is. I think people would enjoy traveling more.

Looking forward to my trip and my concerts with my Dad. Should be fun and memorable.

Aloha,

Herb
